Lee Chitty
Lee Chitty is a lawyer whose practice serves wineries, breweries, distilleries, and the broader beverage alcohol sector. Called to the Bar of Ontario in 2019, he has built his legal practice around corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters, tailored to the specific needs of beverage alcohol businesses at every stage of their operation.
Lee holds a sommelier diploma and has completed the WSET Level 2 awards in both wine and spirits. He is a board member of AIDV Canada, the Canadian chapter of the International Wine Law Association, and a trade member of Ontario Craft Wineries.
What distinguishes his counsel is not enthusiasm for the industry but fluency in it. Lee founded and operates Cases & Cases as a boutique practice, and as a business owner himself, he understands that the legal decisions facing a beverage alcohol business are rarely just legal decisions. They are operational, financial, and personal, often all at once. That understanding shapes how he works with clients and what he considers when he does.
